广藿香的“重生”，是南药种业攻关的一个缩影。作为藿香正气等中成药的核心原料，广藿香每年药用需求量达3万—5万吨。然而，由于长期依赖扦插繁殖导致种性退化，严重制约产业发展。詹若挺带领团队采用系统选优结合分子标记辅助选择的方法，成功选育出“粤藿1号”“粤藿2号”等优良品种，有效满足了产业需求。
